Introducing Android-powered SuperSurv 3.1 for Efficient Field Data Collection


The Android-powered mobile survey application, SuperSurv 3.1, unveils to improve data collection in fields.

Integrating with GIS and GPS technologies. SuperSurv 3.1 help filed surveyors collect spatial data with ease. The mobile GIS application supports common vector layer format (GEO and SHP), allowing users to read the cached map (SGT file) in local machine or connect to the map services published by SuperGIS Server as the base map to increase field productivity.

The newest SuperSurv 3.1 enhances the editing functions and layer management for offering more user-friendly manipulations. The new editing tools such as feature rotation and snapping can assist users in editing feature on mobile devices more effectively and precisely.

SuperSurv 3.1 allows users to define the transparency setting to overlay the layers form diverse resources so that users can adjust layer display settings flexibly to view the spatial data. Furthermore, SuperSurv 3.1 supports digital compass display that helps field surveyors quickly comprehend the actual direction they are heading.

Supergeo Attended India Geospatial Forum 2013





Last week Supergeo attended India Geospatial Forum 2013 to showcase our GIS innovations such as SuperGIS Server 3.1, SuperGIS Desktop 3.1a along with powerful extensions, and the latest full-function mobile GIS applications such as SuperPad 3.1 and SuperSurv 3.

This year the conference discussed the theme, Towards Geospatially-enabled Economy, and emphasized the emerging cultural and governance revolution offered by geospatial technologies. By joining this event, Supergeo has exchanged the valuable experiences of GIS applications with the local governments, enterprises and general users. 


In 2013, our R&D team will focus on developing various GIS Cloud services to help clients move enterprise applications to the cloud and retain the competitive edge to their business with more flexible manipulation, effective data storage and data sharing, as well as more efficient budget plans.

SuperGIS Desktop 3.1a and SuperGIS Spatial Statistic Analyst 3 are officially launched.

With SuperGIS Desktop 3.1a,  users from different domains can easily display, edit, manage, query and analyze  spatial data with the plentiful GIS tools and friendly manipulation environment. In addition to improving stability and efficiency of manipulation, SuperGIS Desktop 3.1a adds SuperGIS Toolkit to provide hundreds of GIS analysis functions.

Through utilizing Process Designer offered by SuperGIS Desktop 3.1a, users are able to define geoprocessing functions and workflows to meet their needs and process single data or batch data directly.

Using An iOS Mobile GIS App to Provide Reliable Tour Guide






Situated on Lan-Yang plain, Taiwan, Yilan County is famous for its natural beauty, a rich culture and abundant agricultural products. Also, the convenient transportation has encouraged more people to travel to this county for holidays.

Supergeo cooperated with Department of Applied Economics & Management of National Yilan University and Yilan Leisure Farming Development Association to develop an iOS mobile GIS application by means of GIS and mobile technologies for promoting the local tourism industry in Yilan, Taiwan.

With an easy-to-use manipulation interface, Yilan Travel Guide App offers detailed tour guide for the destinations, tourism map display and itinerary plan functions. Therefore, visitors can easily search and obtain the latest tourist information about popular destinations, restaurants and accommodations in Yilan.

Integrating with Google Map display, Yilan Travel Guide App can display location of the tourist attractions for helping users have better trip planning and routing online. Yilan Travel Guide App is composed of four themes, including Nearby Tourist Attractions, Specialists Lead the Way, Itinerary Plan and My Favorite, which can be utilized easily on iOS systems.

Through using Yilan Travel Guide App, it enables users to query tourist attractions across the county and search recommended stores. In the near future, SuperGIS Server 3.1 will be employed to integrate maps, local tourist spots and related travel information and publish various map services via web browsers, making the tourist information more manageable to system administrators and more accessible to regular users.

Android-powered Mobile Cadastral GIS 3.1 Avaialbe Now






Mobile Cadastral GIS 3.1 for Android-powered devices is available in Taiwan. Designed to perform cadastral position, field survey and measurement, Mobile Cadastral GIS 3.1 integrates with GIS, GPS, and e-compass technologies to help field surveyors quickly locate their current position and cadastral information to accomplish filed tasks efficiently.

Supporting Android 2.3+ devices, the newest Mobile Cadastral GIS 3.1 allows for easy cadastral data query with the enhanced query function, helping users to obtain and recognize perimeter and area information of the district simultaneously. Additionally, the query results of cadastral data can be saved and exported as text file (TXT) for further field application use.

Moreover, SuperSurv 3 is also available for Android users to complete data collection and edit features and attribute data during surveys. SuperSurv 3.1 will be launched later this month.
